New Paltz, NY to Greenfield, MA
| We hit the road at 7:41 a.m. ET. Rode Connecticut, Rhode Island and into
Massachusetts all before noon! We stopped for a bite of lunch at McDonald's. The scenery
was beautiful through the forest preserve areas, but most of the riding was slow and the
traffic was heavy. We saw a wild turkey. It flew right up next to the bike, a little too
close for comfort. We checked into a Super 8 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and cruised around
town for a bit before heading back to the room. We walked across the street to a Sushi Bar
for supper. The dinner was served on a wooden sailboat that almost covered the table! Excellent Eats!
