Gunnison, CO to Louiseville, CO

We were up at 7:00 a.m. local time off to a coffee shop in town; another tip from our server last evening at dinner. Rode through the section Missy recommended; very nice for the first half, flat long roads for the second half, but you have to get from there to somewhere else somehow. We went through the Rocky Mountain National Park where we rode over Miner's Pass and Trail Ridge Pass. Both passes were well above the timberline and had not been opened very long because of all the snow. The drifts up there were awesome. The deepest one looked to be about 20 ft. deep. It was hugging a bald mountain and looked like it could slip and take you right off the top of the mountain with it at any time.
We spent the night in Louiseville with Jeff's friend from college, Paul, who graciously opened their home to us. Thank you so much Paul. We had a very nice dinner with Paul and his wife, and enjoyed meeting thire daughter, Natalie. Jeff and Paul stayed up talking into the night and catching up on old and not-so-old times.
