Napa, CA to South Lake Tahoe, CA
| We slept in until 7:30 local time. We made hotel reservations in South Lake Tahoe and we are off!! Our first stop was the Berringer Vineyards. They are very old and on a truly grand old estate. We went for the wine tasting and listened to how they create some of the tastes in their line of wines. | |

| Our next stop was the Franciscan Vineyards. This is a more modern, contemporary style. The wine at this tasting is excellent. The final vineyard we visited was the Robert Mondovi Vineyard. We took a tour of this vineyard that included a wine tasting, history of the vineyard, and their method of processing the grapes. All very intriguing. | |

| Now we are off to Lake Tahoe.! Thought traffic would be reasonable heading
away from San Francisco on I80, but what a surprise. We were zooming along at
80 and suddenly everything stopped. We crawled along for several miles, got back
up to 80, then repeated the cycle a couple more times. Finally, we got far enough
away and traffic was once again light. Wow is it gorgeous in Tahoe!! We pulled
into the motel at 5:30 local time. We are staying in South Tahoe, California.
We have dinner at Steamers, a nice bar and grill. We are hungry. The last we
ate was breakfast in Napa at a cute little coffee shop. Chai Tea and a veggie
quiche for me, skim latté and an oatmeal muffin for Jeff. For dinner we order
tacos and a panini. Yum, yum.
